I was with my family and had asked for a room for three. They said it came with a double bed and a single mattress, but didn't say the mattress would be on the floor. They charged me 5500. As I was about to go upstairs, the cashier asked for payment in advance. While I was paying by UPI, he asked for 1000 in cash and the rest by UPI. I had no cash, so he agreed to take all 5500 through UPI. The room was so small that it felt like the room ended as soon as you entered, and all it had was a double bed. Then they said the mattress would be on the floor. I refused and asked for my money back, but they wouldn't return it, claiming there was a GST issue. They hadn't even billed me. The cashier called someone, maybe the manager or owner, and they were both set on keeping the money. They also refused to give me a cash receipt stating it was nonrefundable. I took my family to another hotel, then went to the police station alone at midnight. Thankfully, Mumbai police helped me get back my hard-earned 5500. Be careful and stay alert with these guys.

I spent seven days here for work, and it was a nightmare. The rooms were dirty, smelly, and claustrophobic, and the breakfast area was unhygienic. In the lounge, random people who weren't guests sat around chatting. I don't understand why they charge so much or call this a 3-star hotel. Even lodging houses are much better.

My wife and I had booked Hotel Orient for 5th May to 6th May 2025. I'd told them in advance I'd arrive between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM, but I got there a little later, around 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. They said check-in was at 12:00 PM and wouldn't help us. I asked if we could use any room for just four hours, or pay extra to extend our booking for an early check-in. They wanted another ₹2200 for those four hours, nearly the same as our full-day booking of ₹2222. That seemed completely unreasonable. The staff were rude, dismissive, and humiliating, with no basic hospitality or willingness to help. We left and booked at Hotel National next door, where we were treated respectfully. Never staying at Hotel Orient again. I'd tell others to avoid it if they expect basic courtesy and fair treatment. Terrible experience.

The staff were bad, and the whole area felt like a terror zone. Think carefully before choosing this hotel or its location. There was no security for women, and the receptionist was rude. People who weren't hotel guests were hanging around the surrounding lounge, which felt very uncomfortable for women.
