Six years ago, I thought the hotel was nice. This recent stay wasn't comfortable, though. There were cockroaches in the room and broken bathroom tiles, even if the staff were cordial.

Getting around is easy: it's close to Chembur Monorail station, good places to eat are about 5 minutes away on foot, and the location is easy to find. The rooms are good, but there is no elevator. The complimentary breakfast selection is very limited, and there's no restaurant.
The hotel is on the 2nd floor, opposite the Fine Arts Society in Chembur. The location is convenient, but the roads below are busy and noisy. Rooms are small but adequate and have a-c, and the service is helpful. There's no lift, so you'll need to manage the stairs.
Inside, the place was clean and neat, and the rooms, while a tad small, were comfortable enough. Staff kept serving us tea from their pantry until quite late, around 10.30/11 pm, which was pretty awesome. It's one or two shops to the left of Vijaya Bank, though it can be hard to find. My uncle booked it because there was nowhere else available in Chembur. For a budget trip, go ahead and book this one.
The rooms are clean and the stay is okay, nothing bad, so I do sometimes choose this place. The main reason is where it is: the monorail station is right outside the gate, and the main station, Maitri Park, the freeway and Eastern Express Highway are all nearby. You can get to pretty much every part of Mumbai from here. This was my second or third stay.
