The place was hell, and the staff were even more hellish. It was a nightmarish experience. I booked a room for a friend traveling alone, and despite the booking being confirmed, the staff provided no accommodation at first. They kept her waiting in the lobby from 8:30pm until 11:30pm, three hours. Then they offered a dormitory with many beds shared by male members. When she insisted she didn't want to stay there, they showed her a filthy store room that stank, smelled of debris, had debris lying around, and no amenities at all. It wasn't even 1% close to the pictures they'd posted. She had no other choice but to stay there, as it was already 12pm after 3.5hrs of this fiasco. Please avoid this hotel, even if you can't find anywhere else. It's better to spend the night in the streets than think about staying here. Booking was a horrifying experience.

The hot water held up the whole time, even though the geyser looked tiny. The building is older, but that wasn’t a problem. The room and hotel were clean, the AC and Wi-Fi worked well, and the staff were amazing. Laundry was quick and reasonably priced.

There’s no restaurant in the hotel, but Colaba has loads of places to eat a short walk away. Doolally is across the street, while Cafe Madras, where you should try the palak cheese dosa, and Theobroma, with its continental food and brownies, are a few blocks down. We stayed in the family room. It had a round bed, mirrors along two walls, no windows, and enough space for a seating area or an extra twin bed. It gets so dark that you could sleep until noon, so set an alarm. The geyser was small, but the low-flow, high-pressure shower had hot water the whole time. Our room was clean, had AC, and the staff were always helpful. The desk staff speak enough English to help with things like laundry.

Good value for money in South Mumbai, and it’s suitable for a family stay. The building is from an earlier time, though the interior is nicely decorated. They provide towels and soap only, so no shampoo or shower cap. We had a good experience.

The hotel was neat and clean, and the staff behaved well. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, along with roadside food stalls, stationery shops and a medical shop. Bus service is just 20 meters away on foot. It’s an affordable place to stay in Colaba, Mumbai.
