Indie Stays -BKC, Kalina

The facilities made our family stay comfortable, with good beds, tidy bathrooms, and a restaurant offering a nice range of breakfast choices each morning. The security gentleman was also a big help with our luggage. The only small drawback was that there were no cupboards, but it didn't really affect our stay. We were at IndieStays, Kalina from December 15 to 19, 2025, and were very happy with the experience. Miss Christina handled our booking with warmth and professionalism, replying quickly and making the arrangements easy. At arrival, Mr. Ashish greeted us cheerfully and made sure my son Amit and his wife Arushi had the room next to ours, which we appreciated. Miss Vidhi was a lovely presence each morning and readily helped with requests. We'd gladly recommend IndieStays to people visiting Mumbai and hope to return on our next trip. The rooms felt spacious and comfortable, and the bed was especially good. I also liked having TV and Netflix, and the modern, youthful look of the hotel. The ground floor elevator access made it easy to come and go. Housekeeping checked each morning whether I needed anything else, like water or towels, which was a nice sign of care. It’s a handy spot for business trips, very close to BKC, with good restaurants nearby and a large gym close by that you can use for a small fee. The staff were welcoming and quick to help with any question or issue, and the security team would flag down a taxi when I needed one. I had a great stay at IndieStays Mumbai and would recommend it.

The room and service didn't live up to what I expected from the price or the online ratings. I got there around 12:30 pm but had to wait until 2:10 pm because of the strict 2:00 pm check-in. Other guests seemed frustrated by the policy too, and it could be managed more thoughtfully. There were mosquitoes in the room, and the intercom didn't work. Reception gave me a mobile number to call, but it was often unreachable. I asked for mosquito repellent and was told it would arrive in five minutes. It never came. After using the bathroom, the floor stayed wet for nearly an hour, which was inconvenient and unhygienic. The food was also very expensive for its quality and the overall experience. I booked after reading Google reviews, but the stay didn't justify the cost. The hotel felt overpriced for the service. I'd advise future guests to inspect the room if possible and ask current guests about the service instead of relying only on online ratings.

The Kalina dormitory rooms had a welcoming, well-managed feel, and the staff were the real standout. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and ready to help with a smile, which made the stay easy and comfortable. For a pleasant, reliable stay near BKC, I'd recommend it.
