Prabhadevi station is right nearby, and the area felt safe. Phoenix mall, Siddhivinayak temple, KEM and Wadia hospitals are a short distance away. We stayed at Mint Magna for a couple of weeks for work, and it was pleasant overall. The twin rooms are small but clean and furnished well, with comfortable beds, TV, A/C and a wardrobe. The attached bathroom was fine, though the water was only ever lukewarm. The shared areas between rooms were handy for sitting down to eat food we'd ordered in. The staff were friendly and helpful, with local suggestions, and daily housekeeping was good. We did have a towel supply issue, so replacements weren't always on time. Bottled water was provided free throughout our stay, and we could request an iron. Breakfast had a decent spread each morning: idli or medu vada with sambhar, bread pakoda, pau bhaji, upma or poha, fresh fruit and juice, toast with butter and jam, plus tea and coffee.

It's handy that the hotel is right by the railway station, but I found it alarming that staff entered my room to clean while I was out. Nothing was missing and my belongings were where I'd left them, but I still found it horrifying. When I raised it, the manager said it was their policy and couldn't show me anything in writing. Keep that in mind.

The hotel is otherwise good, but I don't think it's safe for children. The windows in both the rooms and lobby have no railings. Even a 100 kg person could get through one and fall out.

I'm on my fourth day of following up for a bill with the correct GST and address, even though I booked through the hotel's own website. Getting a proper bill here is a challenge. Every other day, I see another confused customer at reception asking about proper billing or payment details. I don't know how they expect to run the business with so little ownership.

I had to remind them for an hour before they brought a bottle of water, and service was very slow. Train noise carried on through the night, and the door had no stopper or chain, so anyone with a master key could enter. The rooms weren't clean, with dirty sheets and hair on the floor. There's no floor mat, and no towel or other napkin unless you call to ask. The phone number for reception isn't written anywhere, so you're left to guess. There's no kitchen; breakfast is the only meal, and even that is brought in from outside.
