I stayed in a private room, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Ask for a room on the reception floor, since the private rooms one floor up have open partitions at the top of the walls and don’t block sound or light very well. The guest house is decorated with a lot of artistic touches, and its central location is excellent for exploring the city. For very affordable accommodation in Mumbai, I believe it’s about as good as you’ll find. I’ll definitely stay again.

There are some safety and access issues to consider, particularly for women traveling alone. The dorm is on the third floor with no lift, the women’s rooms don’t have locks, and the washroom is shared by men and women. It may feel safer when other women are staying there too, or if you have someone with you. You can order or get food parceled, but you can’t cook there. The area is a shopping bazaar. On the plus side, the owner is warm and attentive, often staying late to make sure guests feel safe and supported. The dorm is nicely decorated and conveniently located near CST Terminal, making it appealing to travelers.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the place was clean, neat, and well maintained with a homely feel. It’s near CST station, so getting around is very convenient, and the property is in a well connected market area with easy access to everything. I had a wonderful stay.

We arrived at the last minute, when nearly every hotel in the city was booked for lolla, and Mr. Rajesh still went out of his way to help us. His kindness and hospitality meant a lot. Such a lovely place to stay, and we won't forget how he treated us.
