Om Sai Residency

The hotel is split into four sections connected by a small parking area, and it was better than I expected. The rooms are spacious and nice, and the washrooms were good too. There’s also a very cute dog 🐕. One drawback is that the hotel is inside a housing complex, adding about five minutes to the approach. Parking from one building covers half the road near the last turn, which can make access difficult for a large car such as an Innova, Ciaz, or full-size sedan. Most importantly, the hotel faces a primary school.

The rooms are decent and have balconies. It’s hard to find the place and difficult to reach by public transport. At breakfast, a hair was found in the upma served to one of my fellow diners, not me. I’d say this is only for solo travellers, and wouldn’t recommend it for corporate bookings or families. @oyo-please don’t list this hotel for corporate bookings.

The WiFi worked well and there was hot water. The food tasted good, but the way it was served felt bad, and the place seemed purely money-minded. At 3500 per night, I still had to ask every day for basic things like water, towels, and bath accessories. Service was pathetic. We’d specified before booking that we needed three beds, but they assigned a small two-bed room where a third mattress could barely fit. The photos can speak for themselves. This is another awful experience with Oyo, and probably my last. They don’t seem to understand the business or care about it. With customer feedback so important these days, who would take that kind of risk? Sorry, but I have to be fair to others who rely on reviews. I had to give one star, but I wouldn’t even give that. Never coming back to this place.

The low tariff was the only thing in its favor, and it seems necessary given what the place offers. It’s a studio-style accommodation in an old apartment building, with no parking or restaurant. The area felt unsafe and the place itself seemed shady. The receptionist was extremely rude when I asked about paying through the Oyo app, speaking very unprofessionally and saying they didn’t care if customers didn’t come because a few wouldn’t affect their business, along with other insulting remarks. I walked away. If that’s how they act while you’re booking, what would the stay be like? Avoid.
