OYO Flagship 389 Maitri Park Chembur

I checked out after about six hours, even though I’d booked the place. I arrived very early in the morning and looked at a couple of rooms before hesitantly choosing one. Both smelled of fungus and dust, the paint was coming off the walls, and the bedsheet had stains. The bathroom needed better ventilation. A remote for the AC would have made things much easier, and might have earned an extra star for that kind of consideration. It took me a couple of hours to fall asleep after my late-night flight, and I didn’t stay for the complimentary breakfast. The photos may have been taken when the hotel first opened. Even the way up to reception put me in a bad mood, and the lift looked like it needed care.

The room looked good, and the location was good too, but it was very dirty. Hair and dust were all over the room. I stayed one night. If you have no other choice in the Mairti Park, Chembur area, then book this Oyo. Reviews on Oyo may look very good, but always check Google reviews too.

The room service was awful, the food quality was poor, and the bathroom water was so bad I couldn’t brush my teeth with it. They didn’t provide towels or soap. When I asked for soap, it took two or three hours and repeated calls to reception before they brought it. They also had no cold drinking water bottles. The windows wouldn’t close, so heavy rain came into my room. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in my life. They don’t deserve even one star. I’ll never stay at another OYO property or recommend one to anyone.

The hotel is easy to reach because it’s on the road, and transport is readily available through the hotel. The room service was okay, but the rooms are too small and seem old, with pillowcases that weren’t properly cleaned. The room phone didn’t work, and they still hadn’t fixed it after I complained. It wasn’t value for money. Since it was the only hotel available on Oyo in the Chembur area, they may not feel any need to improve.
