Soho House Mumbai

The rooms and sea views are wonderful, especially at sunset. There’s a fun social atmosphere, with good bar and restaurant spaces on the 8th and 10th floors, plus lively party and poolside music nights. It has a nice, almost boutique feel. Reception can get very busy with all the activity, but that adds to the SOHO experience.

The food was the letdown for me. The menu felt limited, and what we tried was average at best. With premium prices, I didn’t think the portions or quality quite justified the cost, so the value was questionable. The setting is the strong point. Soho House, Juhu has tasteful interiors and a stylish, relaxed feel that’s comfortable for unwinding or socializing. It looks great, but I wouldn’t choose it mainly for the food.

The rooms were compact but had what we needed, and there’s a great gym on level 2. The team were friendly and helpful, and service was very good. The communal areas get loud and busy. Our road-facing room was noisy too, with traffic and planes overhead.

The visit started well. The beautiful interiors and landscaping are among the most striking I’ve seen at a seaside restaurant or café. It was fairly quiet when we arrived, and we were kindly allowed to choose our table. The food was mostly enjoyable, with quality ingredients and thoughtful preparation. We tried carpaccio, fresh salads, cappuccino, pizza, and tiramisu. Everything was well done except one dish. Service and valet problems spoiled the experience. Our server never put in the pizza order, so we waited about 30 minutes. When it finally came, it wasn’t prepared as expected. Getting our car back took 35 minutes, even though there was no visible queue. Staff were mostly unresponsive, and when we followed up, no one gave us much clarity or took responsibility. Sawant’s valet service was particularly inefficient. The supervisor, Vishal, was slow to respond and then unavailable when we escalated the problem. Check the CCTV footage to avoid denials. The atmosphere and food have potential, but the service and valet failures left us very disappointed by the end.
