SPOT ON 23634 City Inn Guest House

I had booked ahead for one day because I needed somewhere to stay with my infant for 5-6 hours before my flight registration. At the hotel, after I showed my Booking.com reservation, they told me to speak to someone in a room instead of helping me at reception. I spent 15 minutes explaining to a person lying on a bed in their underwear that I had a booking, only to be told, "Leave, you don't have a reservation." I had no choice but to spend those six hours at the airport.

The bed and pillows were filthy, there were spit marks on the wall, and the room had a horrible smell. The cupboard-sized washroom was dirty and had no running water, while the electrical sockets were broken. The whole place felt grimy and shabby. Don't book here, even if you're desperate. The road would be cleaner.

The people here said they wouldn't take online payment and told me to cancel the online booking and pay at the hotel instead. The staff are very rude, and the rooms are dirty and far too small. The toilet is ugly, and there isn't even a wash basin in the room. It feels like one big room has been split into four. Better not book this hen cage.

It's a bit far from the metro, though the location is okay. The rooms are small, and the cable wasn't working. Cleaning was good, but they should put down some rugs. Staff were helpful and kind. I'd rate the location 4/5, staff 5/5, cleanliness 4/5, amenities 4/5, value for money 4/5, and the stay 4/5 overall.
