OYO Townhouse 594 Hotel Royal Inn

For what I paid for a 12-hour stay, even the basics weren't there. The room was tiny and unpleasant, soap and other essentials were missing, and the AC didn't work as needed. The booking terms didn't match what I experienced at the hotel, and the front office staff had a negative attitude at check-in. They even kept insisting on cash. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

The service was good, but the room was cramped, with the bed taking up nearly all the space. The bathroom was cramped too, had no lock on the door, and there was no mat outside it. Construction beside the hotel made a lot of noise. There was no parking on site, so I had to use nearby BMC parking. Don't rely on the website photos, the actual room doesn't match them.

I booked through OYO, but when I arrived the hotel refused to give me a room. They said OYO wasn't paying them on time and that they were ending their deal with them. It was nighttime and I was with my family, so they left me helpless and I had to pay a high price for a room. I've never had such a bad experience. If you're reading this, I suggest avoiding hotels that treat customers this way. Please don't book here.

I spent an hour at OYO Townhouse 594 City AVENUE, exhausted and arguing over what felt completely unfair. I had booked three nights online and paid already, but when we arrived near check-in time, the desk said they wouldn't honor the booking unless I paid three times more. Since I was there with my son, I agreed to the higher amount, then they insisted on cash. I had no cash and UPI was having issues, and they had no card machine. They didn't care. I ended up cancelling and checking into a non-OYO hotel, paying three times more after all. I had chosen this place because it was close to my office. The front desk was rude and seemed to have no idea what hospitality means. It felt like they were happy to use OYO's platform for marketing while making customers miserable. The place itself seemed like a rat hole, so I couldn't understand why I should pay extra to upgrade to it. Whatever dispute OYO has with its listed vendors, customers are the ones who get caught in the middle. OYO, you have badly failed at making life easier for customers. Valuations and rounds of funding don't mean much when a mother is treated this way. This feels like a marketing gimmick: accept bookings, then harass people for more money. This is a vent and a warning. Book at your own risk. OYO and City Avenue Hotel, business has ups and downs, and someday better competitors may come along who respect customers and offer value. OYO will ruin the day you planned in this vibrant city called Bombay.
