OYO Townhouse 71 Khar West Station

The receptionist behaved as if she was forced to be there, and wasn't welcoming at all. There was construction in the building, and the corridor was very small and shady. I only needed to stay for a night, so it worked out in that sense. I'm giving it 3 stars because I got out safely. I could write more, but I really don't have time to write disgusting reviews. Bye.

The property was horribly maintained, and there was construction downstairs that we hadn't been warned about. The rooms were disgusting. There were three of us, though the room was booked for two. We made it clear the third guest would only stay for an afternoon chat, and we were happy to pay. The woman at reception was absolutely rude and said people of the other gender weren't allowed. Apparently, three women or three men would have been fine. We have this recorded. After I'd checked in and dropped my bags, they kept us waiting for 30 minutes while we called multiple customer care numbers. That policy wasn't actually mentioned anywhere. In the end, she accepted 500rs and let us go to the room.

I booked through airbnb, where the pictures look very different from the actual place. This was a shabby, filthy nightmare where nothing worked. The staff were nice enough, but the hotel clearly wasn't being looked after at all. Possibly the worst place I've stayed. Don't trust the positive reviews. It was a horrible experience, and I can't say enough bad things about it.

The location is handy, next to the local train station, with pubs, restaurants, and street food places nearby. But the hotel wasn't well maintained and looked nothing like the pictures. My room smelled of cigarette smoke, and it was dirty, with a tiny bathroom and corroded taps. The door was getting eaten away, the light fixtures were coming loose, and the side table was broken. I could go on. It cost me almost 4k a night and wasn't worth it at all. Please don't waste your money here.
