Pearl BKC Inn Hotel

The hotel is in a really bad area, and the surroundings are very unhygienic. There aren't any good food options. Room service is okay.

I chose this place for my visa interview because it's near VFS and the US consulate. It's safe, and taxis and autos are available at any time. Room service runs 24 hours, which was useful. The room was spacious and had a big view, though the neighborhood is crowded. The airport is about 20-30 minutes away, depending on traffic. Food was disappointing, with too much oil in every dish and very few options. I was there with my two-year-old, and breakfast came with only two idlis. I had to pay extra for my baby's food.

The breakfast was a problem too, along with dirty, uncomfortable polyester sheets, foul-smelling rooms, and no kettle or toilet kit. The service was terrible. The hotel is shabby, and the rooms are not worth what they charge. I'd put it at Rs 1000 a night at most. If you're considering it because it's close to the US consulate, skip it. There are good hotels 3-4 km away for 3-4 k, and even paying 5 k would be a thousand times better than choosing this one in the 3-4 k range. For someone going for a US visa, spending another 1000 bucks shouldn't be a big deal. There are 5-6 hotels in the same building, all selling the same proximity-to-the-US-consulate pitch. I'd avoid them all.

The food was a highlight, with a varied menu and delicious meals. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and they dealt with my requests promptly. My room stayed impeccably clean the whole time, and the service made the stay comfortable and pleasant.
