The food was the biggest letdown. The complimentary breakfast was below average, with burned sambhar, idlis that weren’t soft, and other options that weren’t impressive. Lunch and dinner portions were too small for the high prices, and even a regular one-litre water bottle was overpriced. We booked a cottage at Silver Oak Resort, but it felt cramped, especially with an extra bed, and the 1 PM check-in seemed late. There was only a wall fan, which took a long time to cool the room. The bathroom wasn’t clean enough and had no table or proper place to put things, which was hard with kids. The stay was okay for a short visit, but there’s plenty to improve in comfort, cleanliness, and food. I wouldn’t call it excellent.
The garden was spacious and nice for walking or playing badminton, and the pool was good, though quite shallow. Food was decent. The location was quiet and green, but the rooms were old and hygiene could be better. Our executive room hadn’t been cleaned well. Fine for a weekend outing.
There isn’t a lot to do nearby, and the beach close to the resort wasn’t worth visiting, so it’s better as a place to relax with family or friends. There are a few games at the property, though. The cottage was cozy, nicely decorated, and had comfortable beds and an attached balcony for coffee. Tall trees made the resort feel like a peaceful little forest. The in-house restaurant was decent, with a small menu; Indian food was good, especially the local non-veg choices. Breakfast was basic and limited. The staff were attentive, and they arranged something for my nephew that wasn’t on the buffet. Rimi was really helpful when we went for dinner. A refreshing break from city life near Mumbai. I’d go back for a short staycation.
Mr. Harsh, Mr. Arun, and Ms. Rimi were especially attentive, professional, and friendly, and helped make the visit memorable. The whole staff welcomed us warmly and were always ready to help with a smile. The property was beautiful and well kept, with clean, comfortable rooms and a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by nature. Highly recommend it for a getaway with great hospitality and service.
We enjoyed our stay. The property and rooms were good, and the food was tasty. It’s a convenient choice if you don’t want to travel far from Mumbai, especially with Atal Setu. Breakfast was okay, and our attendant Arun looked after us well. I did feel there’s room to improve the service.
