The clean bathroom, comfortable mattress, and nice looking room were the only good parts. Humidity was severe, there was a bad smell, and the stained sheets with holes and dirty towels ruined the stay. The room had no windows or ventilation despite our booking specifically requesting windows and a city view. It was extremely humid, and the towels never dried. Construction was going on at the hotel, making the atmosphere strange and uncomfortable. Breakfast was at a different hotel, which we hadn’t been told beforehand. There was barely anything to eat. Payment was another struggle. Booking.com said all types of cards were accepted, but contactless payment didn’t work. We asked for an invoice and were first told it wasn’t possible. After arguing, they said it would take 30 minutes. We waited while hurrying to catch a flight, but nothing arrived. Another staff member said the owner was in the bathroom and we’d have to wait, so we left without an invoice. Extremely disappointing stay. I would not recommend it.

Without a window, the room was dark, damp, dingy, and had no air circulation at all. Breakfast, if you add it, is served at the hotel next door, which wasn’t explained until I asked. It was beyond basic, so I tried it once and ate elsewhere after that. The location is the hotel’s only real selling point. It’s very close to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel and The Gateway of India. I wouldn’t stay there again or recommend it. It put a huge dampener, quite literally, on an otherwise very pleasant visit to Mumbai.

There were no windows, and the room was very hot even though we had the AC on all night. It felt too dirty for me, and the bed was terrible. The sheets were so short they kept slipping off the mattress, and the bathroom had no toilet paper. Honestly, I wouldn’t come back.

The staff did nothing after I told them about the problems several times. The lift wasn’t working when we checked in, and the super deluxe room I booked for ₹6,000 per day turned out to be just a partition made with gypsum boards. The lighting was poor and there was no ventilation, so it felt suffocating. There was no proper hot water, the washroom was dirty, and dust covered the bed and room. MakeMyTrip says this is a 3-star hotel and lists it without proper verification, which left customers like me dealing with a terrible stay. They should check hotels properly before listing them and assigning star ratings. It was a horrible experience and a complete waste of money. I don’t recommend this hotel or booking through MakeMyTrip for this property.
