I had dinner at The Baluchi during my stay, and the food was absolutely amazing. There are several restaurants in the hotel, with a great range of cuisines. The iconic lobby is a lovely place to sit and relax for hours, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms have the luxurious feel you’d expect for the price. The stay was worth every penny, and I’ll definitely return.

Although the property and location are impressive, our arrival experience fell well short of what I expected. A hotel representative, Mr. Nalin, had assured our group of doctors that rooms would be available from 11 AM after our 4-5 AM flights. I arrived around 10-11 AM but was told to wait until 2 PM. During more than three hours in the lobby, I saw at least 15 guests check out, yet our group still wasn’t assigned rooms despite several polite requests. The front desk seemed unaware of Mr. Nalin’s promise. One staff member said he didn’t know him, then told us by phone that Mr. Nalin was on leave and unavailable. Decisions kept being put off with calls to unnamed superiors, with no clear answers. A request to arrange lunch before our 3 PM conference session also went unanswered for over 30 minutes. Many of us were exhausted after red-eye flights, and basic courtesy and coordination were missing. For a hotel of this caliber, it was frustrating and unprofessional, especially for doctors attending an important event after specific assurances had been given. I hope management improves early check-in communication, staff coordination, and guest support. A more empathetic and decisive approach would help. I wouldn’t rely on verbal promises about early arrival here.

Getting a table at breakfast was the worst part. No one greeted us beyond a staff member taking our room number, and we had to go into the restaurant to ask about availability. Nobody tried to arrange seating for five. After nearly 20 minutes, we spotted two free tables and suggested putting them together. One staff member eventually helped, but only reluctantly. At checkout, we waited more than 25 minutes for the luggage help we’d requested. The hotel feels old, almost run-down, and the staff generally seemed rigid and unwelcoming, with little warmth. It even gave me the impression they may not be treated well by management. It seems to rely on being near the airport and on corporate group bookings. For individual travelers, the service is disappointing, and at this price it just isn’t worth it.
