Oriental Residency Hotel

Mr sandesh is one of the sweetest people I’ve met. The staff were warm and took care of all our needs within minutes. The hotel is a clean place to stay in an amazing location, and the breakfast spread was great and unlimited. I highly recommend it.

The staff were hospitable and the location is decent and easy to reach. But the rooms, especially the washrooms, weren’t as clean as they should be for a hotel at this price. At checkout, the receptionist pressured me to post a Google review right then, even after I said I’d do it later. That bothered me.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the property is in a prime, safe area with several attractions nearby. That was easily the best part of our stay. The rooms felt quite small for the price. We’d booked a twin-bed room but were given a single deluxe bed instead. The AC in one room wasn’t working, and the ceiling fan only had two settings, too fast or too slow. Overall, the place didn’t seem well maintained.

The biggest problem came after I checked out. I left some clothes in the room and contacted the staff several times, but got no real help tracing or returning them. It felt like they stopped caring once I’d paid and left. Before that, breakfast was poor and had very few options. The room was cramped, unlike what had been shown or promised, and the phone didn’t work, so even small requests meant going downstairs. At check-in they assured me Room 201 had a fridge/freezer. There wasn’t one. When I raised it, the receptionist arrogantly told me to check properly instead of acknowledging the mistake. I stayed on 14th May and regret booking here. The service and management were terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend the place.
