Treebo Trend New Castle

The room was really comfortable, and I enjoyed the food too. The staff were so lovely. I was very happy with my stay at Hotel New Castle and would definitely recommend it! 😁

The loud nightclub downstairs disturbed my sleep every night, even from the 6th floor. I could catch up during the day, luckily. I stayed for two weeks, and after an initially disappointing start, I reminded myself this is advertised as a 2-star hotel. The staff were wonderful and helpful, even picking up daytime groceries like yoghurt and beer without charging for the service. Breakfast came to the room and was quite good. The rooms are dated, and some plugs didn't work, but mine was OK. There was a kettle with tea and coffee, a fridge, and good Wi-Fi. If you want somewhere fancy, this isn't it. For a reasonably priced, clean place with lovely staff, though, it's a good choice.

I was asked to move twice when I went into the downstairs nightclub alone, first from a table to the bar, then again because I was by myself. It didn't feel welcoming, the drinks were only B grade, and the service was terrible. I left and went to bed, then had to listen to the music until 4 am. Traveling solo, I wanted to feel included, and that place didn't make me feel that way. The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise, especially after I'd stayed at nearby 3-4 star hotels that were on par. My Maple room on the 4th floor faced the road and had a nice street view. It's next door to dentzz, and the location worked perfectly for that. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and the furniture and bathroom were dated but in good working order. Traffic made it a little noisy, as you'd expect on a main road, but after a couple of days I barely noticed it. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. Service at the hotel was amazing. The staff were accommodating with requests and didn't hassle me or ask for tips. Breakfast arrived quickly in the room, with a choice of Indian snacks, eggs, toast, tea, or coffee. There was also a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The room didn't have a safe, though. The bar is at the front of the hotel and the restaurant is on the 1st floor.

The staff get 5 / 5 from me for their polite service and willingness to do a little extra. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel was great value for a 3 Star stay. Just remember it's rated 2 Star, so judge it accordingly. It's not the Ritz.
