Lumino Dwellings

I was leading a group of 20, and I strongly wouldn't choose this hotel again. The restaurant was very dirty, and both dinner and breakfast were poor in quality and quantity. Our rooms felt damp, hot water wasn't available before 6:30 a.m., and they were very stingy with drinking water. The manager and staff weren't cooperative and didn't want to listen to complaints. I can't recommend staying or eating here.

The location is handy, close to Munnar's main market, and service was nice and available around the clock. The rooms are average, but affordable.

The room itself was in bad shape: dirty-looking walls, dim lights, and one light that didn't work. The TV was out of order, and its remote looked so fragile I felt it might break if I touched it. I called reception about the TV at 4:45 p.m.; they said five minutes, but nobody came. When we finally got into a room, the woman who showed it to us didn't explain anything, even though she'd given other information to someone else in Malayalam while we waited. It felt like we were treated differently. We arrived at about 12:20 p.m., after the stated noon check-in, but were kept waiting in the lobby until around 1 p.m. First a man said five minutes, then the receptionist said five minutes again after we'd already waited 15 minutes. The room we were first shown wasn't ready, and we were moved to another one that seemed ready already. I understand it may have been a busy day, but they should have given us a realistic delay, like 20 or 30 minutes. That was really poor hospitality. They also didn't explain packages or payments before check-in. The receptionist mentioned the Wi-Fi password, hot water hours, and billing in Malayalam while checking in another guest. I understand a little Malayalam, but that wasn't a clear explanation for us.

The rooms were good and hygienic, and Ashok gave good service. Thanks for the good service at Lumino hotel. We'll definitely visit again ❤️
