MehaKira Holiday Inn

We booked a 3bhk cottage for 8 people, including 3 kids, but what we got was three rooms and a hall with no door, which wasn't suitable for children. The rooms were very small, with a queen bed, and there was no lock on the bathroom. Our stay was on the second floor, and the road up was very steep, unsuitable for elderly people. Service was very poor, with no properly designated person to help. We had booked two nights but checked out the next day and moved elsewhere. This place wasn't nice for us, though I don't know about the other properties that may share the same name. The swimming pool shown in the site's photos wasn't at the property where we stayed. When we asked, they said it was at another property.

It's close to Munnar town, but the noise and light from the surroundings kept us from getting any peaceful rest during our one night there. We'd booked two rooms and were disappointed.

The room was good, and so was the bathroom, but the gypsum-board partitions instead of a cement structure made it very cold at night. They said hot water would be available 24 hours, but it was unpredictable, and sometimes the tap water was freezing. Songs played at nearby temples around the clock, which was very irritating. Kerala court of law says no sond after 10 pm.

Parking is the main problem, and the hotel is in a very congested location. Everything else about my stay was good, so I'm happy I stayed here. The rooms were very clean, and the room service was very good. The maintenance person, a very kind uncle, took care of us from check-in to check-out and gave us all kinds of support to feel comfortable. His kind response is a big reason customers like staying there.
