Munnar Breeze

Munnar Breeze is a nice hotel and worth a visit. The nature views are awesome, and the food, service, and hospitality were great in every way. The staff were very friendly, ready to help at any time, and made us feel warmly welcomed.

It’s been a month since I stayed there, and I’m already missing Munnar, especially the hotel. The place was so calm and pleasant, and the rooms were really good and clean. The staff were kind and sweet, and their hospitality made us feel completely comfortable. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you!

We picked this hotel because we wanted quiet and a view, away from the busy center of Munnar. From our second-floor room we had excellent views, and breakfast was lovely with the scenery. The staff were friendly and accommodating, treated our kids very well, and the cook and his assistant made delicious, healthy food. The hotel was new, beautiful, and looked just like the pictures. We booked through OYO and got a good deal. It was only about two months old when we stayed, and we appreciated having hot showers in the evening. I’d read that some downtown hotels don’t offer that. The location worked for us, but the drive needs planning. It’s around 13 km from town, which took about an hour in the hills. Places like Top Station, Elephant Park, Eravikulam National Park, and Echo Point are beyond town, so we had to drive through Munnar each morning and back again. On the way back, we could stop at Pallivasal Tea gardens, Sengulam Dam, and other spots between the hotel and town. We didn’t want to stay in the middle of town, so the distance was worth it for us. Getting there was the hardest part. We drove via Salem, Theni, and Bodi, and saved offline maps to save battery. Google Maps was fine on the plains, but once the ghat roads started it was out of date and sometimes sent us along the shortest route, which could mean narrow paths meant for pedestrians or bikes rather than cars. Ask locals regularly, especially in the last hour, whether the road is suitable for a car, and call reception for directions. Driving from Bodi after sunset in fog tested my skills and turned into an adventure for the whole family. Even with that, we had a good stay and a wonderful trip, by God’s grace.

The room was excellent, with a great view, and it was a lot of stay for the money. The food and the guy at reception were a bit disappointing, though I’d still give the room five stars.
