We were offered a suite after complaining about the smell, but they wanted another ₹1000, which I agreed to pay. Once we settled in, the receptionist told us dinner had to be ordered by 4 PM. When we said we'd eat outside, he threatened a ₹500 extra charge because we weren't taking their paid dinner. The manager later said the same suite category has different rates based on room size, and charged us more because ours was bigger. That felt like an unethical way to bill the same category. The smell was awful too. Drainage odor from the toilets spread through the rooms and was suffocating. The receptionist, a young man with glasses who acted like a manager, was rude and unprofessional. He dismissed every request with a “no,” then changed his answer after we spoke to the actual manager. With the odor, poor staff behavior, and dishonest billing, this resort was a nightmare. I strongly advise against staying here.

The staff are fantastic, but the owners seem to think they have no competition. The place needs maintenance and a proper clean. It's on a steep bend, and traffic noise and honking go on all day.

We came to the resort with our family friends, about 18 people in all. Everyone was happy with the stay. It was super, relaxing, and happy, and I'd highly recommend it.

The swimming pool was awesome, and the resort is a really peaceful place to wander around in the morning. A great choice if you're planning to stay in Mankulam.
