Betelnut Resort

The food was awesome, especially the fresh, tasty fish, and we enjoyed the pool, table tennis, and carrom. There's also a lawn and kids' play area, making Betelnut Resort a good choice for families. We stayed one night at Betelnut Resort, Diveagar and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The peaceful location was great for relaxing, and the staff were polite, cooperative, and quick to help. Our room was clean and spacious, with air conditioning, hot water, wardrobes, a TV, and a comfortable king-size bed. We'd love to return for longer and would recommend it to family and friends.

We had a comfortable one-night stay in a clean, well-kept room, and the extra bedding was appreciated. The food needs work, though. The dishes we tried weren't very tasty, and better flavour and preparation would improve the dining experience. There were lots of monkeys in the garden, including some playing in the swimming pool, so we decided not to use it because it didn't feel hygienic or safe. The hotel itself is good and could offer a much better stay with better food and outdoor-area maintenance.

The rooms and washrooms were clean, though the doors need maintenance. I found the staff not very cooperative. They had nothing for breakfast for a fast on chaturthi, even though we reminded them in advance, and they weren't willing to arrange anything. The vegetarian and breakfast menus are very limited. It's a very good place to stay overall, but try food options outside.

Getting around by vehicle is easy from this location, though it's a little far from the sea. It was nice to walk there through the narrow streets. Service was fast and good, and the spacious rooms are mostly maintained well. A few small things were left, like the water outlet flow and an empty area filled with soil but no plants. The rates seem high for the property and ambience, but we had a good experience overall.
