SaffronStays Salt Rim on the Beach

We loved being able to spend time together watching the waves on the beach, which was barely a 30 second walk away. The property’s somewhat secluded spot meant we nearly had that stretch of shore to ourselves, and we enjoyed it more than expected. We came for a birthday celebration with our family and little one, and the staff were kind and accommodating. The food was all delicious, and they even made a small batch of infant food for our baby. We enjoyed talking with them, too. The house is beautifully kept, with lush gardens and an old woodenstyle home that feels relaxing as soon as you sit on the porch. Our little one loved exploring the garden. The last part of the road is a bit off road and easy to miss, so follow Google Maps carefully and drive slowly. There’s also a small cemetery nearby, handy for late-night ghost stories 😄 We’d recommend it to family and friends, it’s well worth it.

The bathroom fixtures could use an upgrade, though the rooms and other services were good. Food was good as well, but the choices were limited to Indian dishes. The villa has an expansive garden and clear, open views of the sea. It’s grey and semi-beach front, as the shore is rocky. All in all, we had a good experience.

Prateek, the caretaker, was very caring, and Prabhakar Patil cooked delicious food. My family really enjoyed our one-day stay at Salt Rim on the Beach, and we found it comfortable and joyful. The property has a traditional feel and a spacious balcony that doubles as a sit-out with a nice sea view. Just be aware that the beach is rocky rather than sandy.

We came back after staying here last year, and the place lived up to our memories. Both times, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and they adjusted the meals for our two infants. The babies never fell ill. It’s a fantastic bungalow in an amazing location, and we returned home refreshed with lovely memories. Special thanks again to the staff!
