The owner is very cooperative and down to earth. The seafood is the highlight: Surmai fry and pomplet fry are must-tries, and prawns fry is an option if you like prawns. Their chicken chilli, chicken crispy, paneer chilli and paneer crispy are good too. The veg, fish and chicken Tali are tasty, the Solkadi is good, and you can snack on their papads while waiting for your order.

Finding this place on Google Maps can be tricky, so keep a lookout. Parking is a headache, especially on busy weekends. The staff are attentive and friendly, and the washrooms are clean and well maintained. Just be aware they have Indian sandas, not western seat toilets. The chicken and fresh seafood are consistently flavourful, though I'd especially suggest trying the seafood. The menu is solid overall, but the seafood stands out over the chicken, mutton or veg dishes.

We've been coming to Soham Guest House every year for the past 10 years, and it's always been a wonderful experience. Raju Kamble Sir, the owner, makes us feel special every time. The staff are wonderful, the food is fantastic, and Pomfret fry and Surmai fry are must-tries.

A nice choice for families, with comfortable air-conditioned rooms that fit three adults. There's a swimming pool and plenty of parking, plus good food with lots of variety. You can get Tandoori items like roti and Tandoori chicken here, which are rarely available in konkan area.
