Hotel Maharaja - Mysore

The location was very good, but the hotel was in terrible shape and the whole stay left me disappointed. The room smelled bad, the bed covers were dirty, there were no window curtains, and the toilet was awful, with no tiles in the washroom. The furniture was old, and the room didn't look like the pictures. I booked an AC room for 605/- but was charged an extra 120 and given a regular room. TV, AC, WiFi, and catering, which were listed as amenities, weren't available. When I asked to change rooms, the owner was rude and said only those rooms were available, even though the hotel looked nearly empty, with just 2-3 rooms occupied. I've never had such a bad experience. The total vacation felt wasted. Don't book it, you'll regret it.

A clean, fun place to hang out, with drinks from all the known brands, good food, and great service. They have pitchers of bud and KF too, which beer lovers would appreciate. We ordered tandoori chicken and it tasted good.

The stay was horrible and left me with as much mental stress as I can remember. The rooms were small, the bed smelled bad, and they charged Rs. 1000/- a day for a non-AC room. I didn't get a GST bill. The owner was arrogant and treated me badly because I'd booked through OYO. He said he wouldn't honor low-cost OYO bookings and refused to give me a room. Then he said that if I cancelled OYO, he would give me one for a higher price. With no other option, I cancelled, paid more for a room, and stayed there. OYO also didn't respond properly, and it's not possible to speak to them directly.

The room itself was in poor shape, with old furniture and a very old bed. The bedding and pillows didn't look clean or hygienic, and there was a bad smell in the room. The bathroom had no tiles. We were charged extra, and the booking was for only 12 hours even though we expected a 24-hour stay. When we asked to move, they said there were no rooms available, although most rooms seemed empty. With a third-party booking, it felt like the room you get depends on what you paid. Worst resort.
