The setting was one of the best parts, with greenery around the property and a beautiful white building that felt peaceful. We even had rain one night, which added to the atmosphere. We stayed two days at KSTDC Hoysala Hotel and wanted to add another, but it was fully booked. The price seemed reasonable for what was offered. Inside, the hotel has an old-fashioned feel, with a long traditional Indian-style veranda and rooms opening straight onto it instead of private balconies. The rooms are simple and a bit dated, with a bedroom and washroom, and the cupboard is inside the washroom. They were still neat and clean, and hot water was reliably available all the time. Breakfast was included, though the choices were limited to idli, vada, one South Indian rice dish, bisibelebath, fruit, tea, and coffee. We skipped lunch and dinner there because the menu didn't look very appealing. If you're after luxury and modern amenities, this may not suit you. For a quiet place with a vintage feel and basic facilities, we had a good experience.

There's plenty of parking, and the food is good, though restaurant waits can happen because there aren't many hands available. Service is limited. The rooms aren't lavish, but they're large and have the basic necessities. Being on the main road makes it easy to get to different parts of the city. A decent, worthwhile place for a quick stay, for both the room and the food.

The rooms and location are good, and the junior staff keep the place well maintained. Nights can be quite disruptive, though. From 6:30 pm, the ice cream parlour in front of the building turns into an open-air bar in the garden. It feels like an eyesore for older people and women tourists, and doesn't seem safe for tourists.

I stayed here for five days in May 2026 and was impressed by how clean and hygienic the rooms were, as well as the room facilities. The staff were friendly and quick to get things done. The hotel is very close to the railway station and Devaraj Urs Road. I had also stayed here in 2004, and that visit hadn't been very pleasant, so the changes this time were striking.

Please be cautious about booking this property. On arrival, the receptionist said they couldn't find our reservation and claimed the hotel wasn't partnered with certain third-party booking sites such as Agoda. She was very rude and told us to leave, even though we had several bags. It caused a lot of inconvenience, and I spent a long time escalating the issue with Agoda before it was resolved. For people from outside Karnataka, please be careful. The property seems to have outdated systems, and even simple requests take a long time. If you book, I'd recommend confirming directly with the hotel first. I'm happy to share my booking ID, complaint details with Agoda, and the resolution for anyone who wants more information.
