It’s basically a lodge in an ideal spot opposite the bus stand, but there are quite a few problems. Check that the bathroom has proper water supply. The AC is controlled by reception, perhaps to manage costs, so you have to keep calling them to switch it back on when it cuts out from time to time. If the power goes, don’t expect the backup to start quickly. They take time to turn on the generator after consulting the electricity authority. I stay here regularly, but this time the summer heat and AC trouble meant I couldn’t sleep properly.

One room had no hot water, and the other had no water at all. The AC wasn’t working properly either, which made the stay very uncomfortable. Staff didn’t seem responsive when we asked them to fix things. For the price, this level of maintenance is unacceptable. I can’t recommend the place until these basic facilities are fixed.

It’s an older place from the days when lodges were the main option for people visiting Mysuru, exactly opposite the city’s suburban bus station. Don’t expect luxury, but you can get a clean, comfortable room at an affordable price. Restaurants nearby cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Being right near the bus station is the main advantage. The rooms are old, and some have deteriorated quite a bit, but the daily housekeeping is decent and the staff are polite. Veg restaurants, a wine shop, bike and taxi rentals, and an auto stand are all just in front of the hotel.

The room had barely any light, and the bathroom had no door. The staff were rude, too. It felt like a village shack, so I don't know how Shastri Paradise got the name. Calling it a paradise hotel feels like a way to fool people. We had a bad experience, so please don't book here.
