OYO 11694 ABS Comforts

We had a senior citizen with us and felt completely unsafe here. Our online booking was confirmed and prepaid, but when we arrived there was nobody at reception. After a while, a man who seemed drunk came out and said the room needed cleaning, even though check-in was at 12 pm and it was already 1 pm. He asked what we’d paid, called the owner, and said we’d booked at a lower price. The owner said they had no rooms available from online platforms like oyo and make my trip, then denied our confirmed booking. When we asked why, he started abusing us. The place felt unsafe and unclean, and we struggled with our luggage while finding somewhere else to stay at a much higher price. I wouldn’t recommend booking here.

The location was the main reason we booked through OYO, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything is close by. The rooms, though, are small and cleanliness varies from room to room. Some are normal sized, but the one I stayed in was cramped and clearly past its best. The place is old and fraying, and a few improvements would help. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, hot water in the room was non existent, and they provide just 2 bottles of water for the whole stay. I hope management takes note. The restaurant downstairs is completely veg and serves really good food.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and service was quick. The budget rooms are good value, with a 10 out of 10 for price. My dosa was delicious, both the Mysore dosa and Masala dosa. Hygiene was excellent, with new, clean bedsheets. The room was big enough for 2, the bed was comfortable, and there was an elevator. International guests are allowed. There was a TV with all channels, AC and a fan in the same room, plus OYO shower gel, body lotion and soap. I’d rate it 9.99 / 10, no one’s perfect, right? Try it and reply to my review!

We checked the rooms before booking and they seemed fine, so we took two on the spot. That changed fast: both had lots of large cockroaches crawling around the beds. There wasn't a single window, so I have no idea where they were getting in. We ended up calling the manager in the middle of the night to ask for another room. A horrible stay.
