The room was better than I expected, and the staff were helpful enough to bring extra towels. Still, finding help can be difficult because the receptionist also works at the bar downstairs, even at check-in or check-out. I wouldn't recommend it to families or couples. It seems more suited to bachelors or people traveling alone.
The restaurant MySouth serves fabulous South Indian food in a lovely traditional setting. My room service and the ambience were great too. The hotel was comfortable, and the staff were always ready to help with a smile. Excellent service.
Whenever I come to Mysore, this is where I tend to stay first. The rooms are great and there's a bar attached. It works well for families, though maybe even better for bachelors. You can get liquor at any hour, day or night, but keep that quiet.
Avoid this place. My room was dirty, the washroom looked like it had never been cleaned, and there was noise from drunk men at the bar, including staff who were drunk. Tourists shouldn't stay here.
The rooms are only so-so, and the service is extremely poor. It's above a bar in an ugly location outside the city, with difficult access. I wouldn't recommend it for families, whether they drink or not. Don't go.
