Vertical Garden Hostel

Plants and pets make this a nice spot for nature lovers. They’ve put plants in pots and hung them to create a vertical garden, which looks great from outside. There are birds around, and the bed was comfortable, but the small rooms are separated by PVC partitions and have a single bed. Backpackers may find it friendly. The shared bathroom setup wasn’t great, and the hospitality was mediocre. There’s a common sit-out. They only let me see the rooms after payment, so check the attached photos.

I was happy with my five nights here. It’s cheap and cheerful, close to the yoga spots, and easy to get into the city by transport. The original owner, who lives downstairs, is kind and helpful. The new owner is welcoming and awesome too. I’d recommend staying here.

The location is about 10 km outside the city, with not much around. My stay was pathetic overall, though the boy working there was comparatively cool. The old man and his family had no manners with guests. The rooms felt like “hitler chambers,” and they demanded extra charges to confirm my booking, telling me to leave immediately if I didn’t pay. I was travelling a long way from jaipur and couldn’t rate things properly on goibibo at the time. The woman acted like the property was her reign. If guests can afford the stated rate, they should be treated as guests. The photos online aren’t impressive, and calling it Vertical garden is like putting an audi emblem on a maruti alto. Planting hundreds of plants along a long structure doesn’t make it a vertical garden. They should take some time to understand what vertical gardening actually is. Zero hospitality, 200% ego and attitude.

I immediately liked this beautiful homestay in Mysuru, the Heritage City. The owners are really friendly, and they offer everything from single rooms to hostel beds at affordable prices. They also have their own bird nest, which makes for a nice way to spend some time.
