The art retreat brought together people from very different backgrounds to create and learn, and share openly without anything feeling forced. I spent a week here, and it felt calm, grounding, and easy in the best way. Kala Studio & Stay by Nidhi is a little outside Naggar, about a 15-minute walk. The last 300 mtrs through the forest feel like a quiet reset. Set right by a river, you wake to the sound of flowing water, with Nidhi’s dogs and cats nearby. It felt like warm chai on a cold winter morning, and it’s one of those places that stays with you after you leave. Spend a weekend here, you’ll come back lighter.

The property is lovely, and Nidhi’s welcoming vibe is what really made the experience special. She made me feel right at home. If you’re planning a trip to Manali, KALA Kala Studio and Stay is a great place to disconnect from the noise and find some inner peace through art and relaxation. I highly recommend joining the local activities, they’re a lovely way to reconnect with yourself. A soulful mountain getaway, highly recommended.

Nidhi made sure I was comfortable and was an amazing host. Her cute dogs and cats made it hard to want to leave. There’s a great art corner and collection where you can choose a canvas and create whatever you feel like. Kala by Nidhi made me feel at home in every way, and it felt like home to me personally. I’ll definitely visit again.
