Waking up to the sunrise over the mountains and having coffee with that view was magical. There’s fresh air, a peaceful setting, and a full 360-degree mountain view, with no traffic noise. It’s a lovely spot to unwind away from the city. The staff welcomed us warmly and were attentive throughout. Every meal was delicious, made with fresh ingredients and nicely presented, whether it was traditional or international. The resort was well maintained and had ample parking and excellent facilities. A beautiful escape with great hospitality and food. I can’t wait to visit again.
Amazingly peaceful spot, quiet in the middle of nature, with no crowds or pollution. The resort has a lovely view and plenty of parking. If you need a little quiet away from the rest of the world, it’s well worth visiting.
This place was so peaceful, I didn’t want to leave. We had bonfires under the stars, short walks in nature, and proper quiet time, with no traffic or other noise, just wind and trees. It felt like home, too, and the rooms were clean and cozy. I visited this lovely offbeat property in Jaitak near Nahan, Himachal, last month. The valley views, birdsong, and sunrise over the hills were pure magic. Unlike busy tourist places such as Shimla or Mussoorie, it’s surrounded by raw nature and has a beautifully maintained property. It would make a great weekend break from Delhi or Chandigarh, for couples, solo travelers, or small retreats. I’d recommend it for yoga retreats, a digital detox, a romantic escape, or just reconnecting with yourself and nature.
The view from the top of the hill is lovely. So calm and soothing, and I really enjoyed the tea here.
We came as a family, all adults, and enjoyed our stay. The hospitality was overwhelming. Ask for something and they’ll try to serve you well and quickly. In winter, there’s a bonfire. The food was comforting, with tasty vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The scenery is excellent, with mountains and valley to look at for hours and plenty of photo opportunities. Jaitak Fort is just 80 meters away, a small heritage site with a hilltop view of Nahan Town and a helipad. Take a chatai or mat and a bottle of beer or Coke at sunset and chill. Bring Woodland shoes if you want to trek near the fort. There’s plenty of space where they could add a kids’ play area, a badminton net, and a couple of swings. Wi-Fi and Smart TV mean you can watch Netflix, but long power cuts can sometimes leave even your phone uncharged, since they don’t have a genset yet. Note that it’s 17km or 35 minutes from Nahan Town if there’s an emergency.
