Hotel Himalayan Escape

The location is good, and the staff were polite, cooperative, and clearly tried to help. But our stay at Hotel Himalayan Escape & Cottages, Kufri from 24th to 26th January 2026 fell well short of expectations. We had booked cottages C5, C6, and C7, and the stay wasn't worth what we paid. In January cold, the in-built heaters didn't work properly, and frequent power cuts made the cottages uncomfortable. Even basic room service and support took a very long time. When we raised these problems, the owner argued with us and wouldn't offer even a 1% discount. That left a very bad impression, especially given how helpful the staff had been. I hope management takes the feedback seriously and improves the facilities, service, and way guests are treated.

The peaceful atmosphere made this a lovely place to unwind while visiting Shimla. We had a beautiful hill view from our clean, comfortable room, and the food was delicious. The staff were consistently polite and helpful, and the service was excellent. I'd happily recommend Hotel Himalayan Escape Hills to families and friends.

The food was fresh and delicious, and the warm hospitality made us feel at home. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up. With stunning mountain views and a serene, relaxing atmosphere in Himachal Pradesh, this was a wonderful break from city life. I'd love to come back.

The staff and hotel workers were amazing, very cooperative, and deserve five stars. The rooms were clean and good, and the location was nice. The food, though, wasn't good, and after we arrived hungry from heavy snow we waited around three hours for it. Service was far too delayed. There was no electricity and no generator for about 10-12 hours, until late evening. When we told the owner, Mr. Sood, he replied, “Pure shimla me light nahi thi , ap akele thodi do”. We also had no heaters when we checked in, and they were only brought after we asked. When we tried to give feedback about the service, he said, “Itna hi issue tha to ap pehle check out krdete”. That was his response to us. Mr. Sood was very rude and unprofessional.
