Hotel Hill View Nainital

Dear travelers, sharing my actual experience so you can decide where to spend your time and money. At Hill View, dinner orders were taken quickly but often took 1-2 hours to arrive. Service was poor even after repeated calls, and there was no housekeeping, fresh towels, or basic room service during our multi-day stay. The food was average, and the pricing seemed inconsistent, with extra charges for bread. I’d look for better value elsewhere.

We arrived around 9 PM after a long journey and were told the hotel had no food service. That made an already poor stay worse. The bedsheets were dusty and dirty; we asked several times for them to be changed, but nothing was done. The geyser and hot water kettle both failed, and repeated requests to staff brought no proper help or response. The staff were uncooperative, basic amenities didn’t work, and even minimum comfort was lacking. This ruined our family trip, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

I’d paid a ₹1000 advance, but when I arrived the hotel denied having parking, despite staff clearly telling me before booking that it was available outside. They refused to return the money, so I lost it because of that incorrect promise. The whole thing felt misleading and unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have a vehicle. Get the details in writing before you book.

The hills and natural setting give this hotel a refreshing feel, and the location works well if you like walking and exploring the mountains. But there are lots of monkeys around, which can be disturbing and make it hard to relax or enjoy the view outside. The scenery is nice, though the constant disturbance takes away from the peace. I also didn’t feel the area was very safe.
