Hotel Walnut Creek

We found this hotel while searching on the spot, and thankfully it turned out to be a great place. The location is easy to reach, right beside the lake with just a street between them. We could see ducks, a temple, food shops and a cafe nearby, as well as the in-house restaurant. The view from our room was awesome. The hotel doesn’t allow pets, but since we were its first guests, they made an exception and gave us extra care. The food was very tasty, and I especially loved the coffee. I want to come back just for that coffee. Surely recommended.

I was in Room 207 at The Lake Hill - A Lake Side Hotel, and found it clean, comfortable, and well kept. The staff were very polite and helpful, and room service was quick. A special thanks to Yogesh Adhikari for the warm hospitality. It was a pleasure meeting him. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. We especially liked the Veg Salt & Pepper, Chilli Paneer, and Mix Kulcha. If you’re visiting Bhimtal, I’d recommend this hotel for a comfortable lakeside stay.

There’s no lift, and in November our heater took 3-4 hours to reach the room. The food at the restaurant was very good, though the prices were above average, and the staff did help us with parking and luggage. Everything else, from check-in through checkout, was a nightmare. We had already paid 50% for the room, with all the details agreed in writing over WhatsApp beforehand, but at check-in they made a fuss about giving it to us. The room they finally gave us was very dirty, with spotted linen and random hair on the floor. At checkout they spent 30 minutes demanding extra room-tariff money, even though the written agreement was clear.

The place has a cozy, happy vibe, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Thanks, Ankit Kumar, for making us feel at home right away. The food was incredible, fresh, and full of flavor.
