OYO 9635 Kharghar

It was convenient to walk to Central Park and Iskcon Temple, and we felt safe and welcome throughout our stay. The staff were friendly and ready to help at any hour. My family and friends all felt comfortable and had a good experience too. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re in Kharghar.

The rooms are smaller than at other Oyo places, and the geysers are inconvenient. They could do a better job dealing with the mosquitoes, and there was no handwash. They do keep things clean, though, and the staff were helpful and quick to respond. For the money, I don’t think it’s worth it.

The staff are arrogant, and the service is bad. They serve stale food and confidently say it’s part of the complimentary food. Rooms won’t get cleaned unless you ask over and over, then wait hours. And if you’re staying longer and don’t extend your booking in time, be prepared to find your luggage thrown out of the room.

It’s clean and has the basics, but there’s nothing fancy about it. The OYO is two bungalows converted into a hotel, and our room was smaller than it looked in the pictures. We only stayed overnight because of the rains, so it didn’t bother us much. The receptionist seemed in a bad mood, or didn’t know how to greet arriving guests. He wasn’t forthcoming or smiling, and we had to ask several times to get things. Still, whenever we asked, he did help us and never refused.
