I’m at Shivranjani today, and wouldn’t recommend it. It’s very cold, but there’s no hot water for bathing. Staff argued that the hot water had been working yesterday and couldn’t understand how it wasn’t working today. They checked several times, but only cold water came out. I asked to use a vacant room to bathe, but they said they couldn’t help if the same thing happened there. After I asked again, they gave us one bucket of hot water. Zero hospitality, and Miss Vrinda was uncooperative.

The two restaurants right beside the hotel were both good, one serves non-veg and the other is pure veg. Room service can be ordered from either, and they’re open from 8am to 10.30pm. The hotel is near Shri Mangeshi temple, and in fact it’s the only one in the area. There are eight rooms on the first floor, no lift, but the stairs are manageable even for senior citizens. The rooms are spacious, with a front bedroom and balcony, plus a small back room for luggage or changing that leads to the washroom. There’s also a small counter and sink for plates. All rooms have AC and balconies, which were especially relaxing in the early morning and evening. The back-facing rooms are better, since the ones facing the main road are too noisy. Behind the property there’s lush forest and a calm, serene atmosphere. Staff are friendly and helpful, though housekeeping could be better. Rates are reasonable: 1500/ for non-AC, 1700/ for AC, and 300/ for an extra mattress. Payment is taken in advance, and they aren’t listed on booking sites, so you need to call and confirm directly. I’d recommend this for anyone visiting the temple.

It feels more like staying in a home than a hotel. The staff are polite and pleasant, and I felt at home here. Thanks to the Shivaranjani Team.

The hotel is right across from the gates of the Mangeshi temple complex, and the AC and non-AC rooms are airy. There’s a separate kitchen room, but no food service, only tea. Meals have to be ordered from a nearby restaurant. The staff are cooperative and try to help however they can. A happy, pleasant stay overall.

It’s not too expensive, and the facilities are good: a large room with a kitchen and balcony, plus excellent AC. The Mangeshi temple is only a five-minute walk away. My one concern is that they should screen the guests who come in, since this is a temple area.
