Cloudskape Resort Ooty by VOYE HOMES

We spent four days here and had a great time. Our mountain view suite was lovely, and early one morning we spotted a deer just outside the balcony. Service was excellent, and the staff were great. The in-house kitchen serves pure vegetarian food that was tasty, with generous portions. Breakfast also had a good variety. We joined their safari trip, and driver anna was a superb guide. He showed us beautiful places and made sure we had a good lunch too. A couple of travel details: even though the resort is a little way from Ooty, vehicles still need an Ooty e-pass. We got one at the checkpost for 30 rupees, but check availability beforehand. The road from Masinagudi is one-way for non-local vehicles. On the way back from Pykara Falls or Ooty, you may be stopped. We showed our hotel booking and they let us through.

The location is safe and beautiful for families, and the rooms were very clean. The staff were helpful, especially Mr. Shantanu in the food area, who sorted out all our queries. We’ll plan another trip here.

We stopped here on the way to Ooty, and the staff were so helpful and polite that we ended up extending our stay by two days. The rooms were clean and well kept. The food tasted good, though breakfast was disappointing, with only 2-3 buffet items. There’s no RO drinking water, and bottled water costs ₹60 per liter, so it’s better to bring your own. There’s no AC, and the small fan wasn’t very effective. Given those basics and the limited breakfast, the price felt a bit high. Good service and decent rooms, but the cost and amenities could use some work.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Cloudskape. The views were spectacular, the food was excellent and the service outstanding. The kids absolutely loved the jacuzzi in our suite. Breezy weather, hot meals and the European-era surroundings made the stay feel special. They also have a bonfire, candlelight dinners and a kids’ play zone. The staff helped arrange a Mudumalai safari for us. A memorable getaway for families.
