The bedding was dusty, with bedsheets and pillows that didn't seem to have been washed or changed properly. It made the room feel unhygienic. The water heater was another constant problem. It wasn't instant, kept malfunctioning, and staff never properly fixed it after we complained. In a cold place like Ooty, hot water is a basic need. Staff handling room service couldn't diagnose or repair even simple plumbing and electrical issues, and repeated complaints brought no lasting solution. It felt like they weren't trained. Management seemed careless about maintenance and guest comfort. For what we expected from the location, the service was far below standard. I wouldn't recommend it, especially to families or anyone who expects basic comfort and cleanliness.

The staff got rude and aggressive when we asked for basic service, and we felt unsafe and threatened. The food was unhygienic and not worth eating. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I stayed for a day and ate there four times. The food honestly wasn't up to the mark, and the service was the worst I've ever experienced. The heater didn't work properly either. It wasn't worth staying here, especially for a family.

We had a nice stay with the family at Emarald Hotel Ootty. It's set up like apartments, each well furnished with three bedrooms, a hall, and two attached bathrooms. The bathrooms looked newly renovated, and hot water was available all the time. The staff were helpful, and there's a restaurant serving mainly South Indian dishes. Thanks.
