The stay felt cozy and almost like home, and everyone on staff was courteous and greeted us with a smile. The hotel kindly moved my dad's room next to ours after he'd first been assigned one on another floor. Yamuna, from Darjeeling, helped us a lot at breakfast in the restaurant, and the others who cleaned our room each day were lovely too, though I didn't learn their names. The food was excellent, the amenities were top-notch, and the lake view made the stay special. Their pizza was so soft and delicious 😋 Our room was spacious, though a couple of chairs would have helped. It could feel stuffy at times since there was no AC or fan, which bothered me. I would have given five stars if checkout on the last day hadn't been so disappointing. They knew my elderly parents were with me, but kept hurrying us to leave by 10. They called while I was eating breakfast, and we had to rush and wrap up quickly. They said a new tenant had been waiting to check in since 8:30, but that wasn't my problem. The property has over 50 rooms, so I don't understand why they couldn't put them somewhere else instead of pushing to settle them in our room. That was the worst hour of my stay. I'd still like to visit again.

We had dinner at the restaurant on the fourth floor of hotel darshan while staying there. It's in Ooty, opposite the boat house lake. We ordered DRAGON PANNER and PANNER MALAI TIKKA to start, then MANCHOW SOUP, followed by PANNER LABABDAR, VEG KOLHAPURI, and BUTTER ROTI. We also had LEMON JUICE and WATERMELON JUICE. The food was good in both quality and quantity, and tasted really good. Staff were responsive and service was quick. There's a TV to watch while eating. A very good veg restaurant to visit in Ooty.

The staff made our stay smooth and memorable, with courteous, attentive service. Yamuna and Karan deserve a special mention for making the experience even nicer. Our room at Darshan Resort, Ooty, was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the whole place had a peaceful, pleasant feel. I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ooty for a relaxing stay.

The view from up top is a real highlight, with the forest and lake both in sight. The food was very good too, and it's one of the best pure veg restaurants you’ll find in Ooty.
