Food and service were a mess. Evening snacks showed up at 10 PM, cold, burnt, and not what we’d ordered. Dinner came cold at 11 PM. Breakfast was bad too, with cold food and no cutlery. Even toasted bread took half an hour at this small property. At checkout we waited another 30 minutes, and nobody helped carry our bags up to the top level, which was hard to manage on the hilly property. Finding the place was difficult from the start. The approach road was extremely narrow and not properly paved, with no signs to show where the hotel was. Arriving at night or driving yourself, it would be almost impossible to spot. The phone number listed on Google and other sites was wrong, and we only got there with help from other people. In the room, the TV and geyser didn’t work, and we had to call repeatedly just to get drinking water. Room service was practically nonexistent and staff attitude was poor. There was no intercom, reception desk, helper, manager, or onsite assistance. WhatsApp was the only contact, and we kept getting standard replies that things take time. The manager or owner, whoever she was, only communicated there and wasn’t kind or open to feedback. Our one-night stay was completely ruined. Sharing this so others know.

The atmosphere at Leopard Stay was incredible, and the whole team took great care of us. Service was top-notch, with thoughtful personal touches throughout. Big thanks to the staff for treating us so well. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.

I strongly urge people not to go. We felt trapped there, with what seemed to us like a hostile owner and staff who appeared unable to leave. The stairs to reach the property were dangerous and unsuitable for children and older people. The place is nowhere near Ooty, and the owner offered no help getting there from the checkpost. Calling it a resort doesn’t fit; it felt more like a PG. I suspect the photos are AI generated. The rooms were dingy, smelly, and in my view not worth even 500 rupees. There was fungus on the walls, termites, and bugs in the bed. The smell made it hard to stay. Bedsheets were stained, towels worn out, toiletries weren’t provided, and we had to pay for water. I also saw the owner preparing food in what looked like unhygienic conditions. Vegetables were being cut with a rusty knife. When I complained or said I didn’t want the food, she yelled and said, “I got this onion travelling 5 kms on my scooty,” then insisted that we eat it and pay extra. I believe she has a tie-up with Agoda, which may explain why the property hasn’t been blacklisted despite the many bad reviews. Agoda and other travel platforms should inspect the place and debar it. The listings mislead and exploit customers.

The warm welcome from the owners and friendly, attentive staff made us feel at home throughout. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a well-kept bathroom and a lovely view to wake up to. We had a truly enjoyable stay, and it’s a beautiful place to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. Highly recommend.

We stayed for two days and had a pleasant time. The location was amazing, the food was good, and the service decent. It’s 1-2km from the main road, so there’s almost no traffic noise, just birdsong. Definitely worth the price, and I’d stay here again.
