The bedsheets and pillow covers looked unwashed, with lots of fungus marks, and the windows were filthy. They also didn’t refill our drinking water, so we had to buy a separate 5 litre can from a hotel staff or agent. The booking email and website both promised complimentary breakfast, but when we asked, a staff member named Melto spoke to us rudely and used filthy language. He said we should ask the agent about breakfast and not spoil his morning with such questions. He kept talking that way throughout the argument. The service was unbelievably bad, and the person at reception who argued with us was ill-mannered and unfit for the job.

We had confirmed our stay a week in advance, but when I arrived to check in, they cancelled the booking in front of us because demand was high and said the stay wasn’t confirmed. The staff and owners were awful, and management was very rude. They didn’t even know how to behave with the girls. Everyone should stay away, or you may get cheated the same way.

At 10:30 at night, there were no autos going to the property, no nearby hotels, no streetlights, and hardly anyone around. That’s where we were left after the management refused our Agoda booking because they wanted a higher price and gave the room to someone else who paid more. We’d booked through Agoda at Flagship key 2 heaven, though the property’s actual name is Heaven holidays. The manager said they didn’t accept Agoda bookings, but refused to put that in writing when we asked. They knew we’d booked and still turned us away. If you want your trip ruined and your online room payment wasted, go there and get cheated.

The one good thing is that it’s close to Ooty lake. The room we got didn’t match the Agoda pictures at all, and it was dirty, with fungus all over the curtains and mattress. The curtains throughout were stained with fungus, and the room didn’t feel worth more than 1500 a day. There was no Wi-Fi password or room service. When I asked the manager about the room, he told me to leave his property or complain to the website that showed the pictures. I had no other choice, so I stayed. The next day, when I asked about the complimentary breakfast, he again told me to ask the website. I couldn’t find a hotel named Flagship key to heaven when I reached the location on check-in day. Locals showed me where it was, and the name there was Heaven holidays. It ruined my holiday. If you have no other hotel, postpone your trip, but don’t book this place.
