Abdul, the caretaker, was the highlight of our two-night stay at THE643 Holiday Homes & Resort. He was warm, attentive, and always willing to help, and his hospitality made a real difference. Breakfast was a limited spread, but the homemade food was tasty and served piping hot. The room was quite small, and its cleanliness needed more attention. For around ₹6,000 a night, the room quality and upkeep didn’t feel worth the price. Parking is limited, and it was difficult to find the property as a first-time visitor. Better signs and directions would help. There’s potential here, but with the room size, cleanliness, parking, and access issues, I couldn’t justify paying ₹6,000 per night in its current state. Improvements to maintenance, cleanliness, and accessibility could make the stay much better.

The breakfast was tasty, though there wasn’t much to choose from, and parking fits only around 6-7 cars. We had a comfortable stay, and it’s a budget-friendly option close to the bus stand.

Abdul Bhai was warm and helpful, and the spacious rooms have balconies. It’s in a prime spot and felt like good value for money. We had a memorable stay, and I’d recommend it when visiting Ooty.

We got a room for five at a reasonable price, breakfast included, and there was a decent amount of parking. The room was excellent and well kept, with a wide range of rooms and facilities for couples, families, or groups of bachelors. Mr. Abdul, the resort caretaker, provided impeccable service, and we had a pleasant stay.

Mr. Abdul was the best part of the stay. He was very kind, lent us his own hair dryer, made a great breakfast, helped plan an itinerary, and arranged a cab. Even so, we left after just one night. The location is far from the city center, with no nearby restaurants or transport. Ordering food online seemed to be the only option, and reaching the homestay means walking along a long, dirty village road, which felt especially inconvenient at night. We booked after returning to Ooty for the first time in 10 years and relying on the reviews, but that turned out to be a bad decision. Our standard room cost Rs 2900 a night and was tiny, dirty, and poorly maintained, far from what the online listing showed. The mattress was dirty, the curtains were stained, and there were water leakage marks on the walls and wardrobe. The narrow staircase felt unsafe, and I hit my head twice on the low bathroom door. A premium room happened to be available when we arrived, so we paid another Rs 1000 to upgrade. It was better, but still had no heater or hair dryer, both of which are a must in Ooty’s cold weather. If you’re coming with family and don’t have your own vehicle, I’d say this place is a definite no. Even with a vehicle, I wouldn’t recommend it. The standard room is a disaster, and the premium rooms don’t justify the price given the location and ambiance. You’d be better off booking in the city center if you want to enjoy your stay.
