The watch tower is a real draw. You can spend hours there watching wildlife come to the artificial waterhole and salt lick. Be patient and you’ll be rewarded. The rooms are large and spacious, well appointed with linen, though simple, they serve their purpose. The food is delicious, though taste varies from person to person. I first came here on a random visit in 2011, and the experience stayed with me. It brought me back in 2018, and I’ve visited every month since. The place has a special charm for wildlife enthusiasts, from the buildings and furniture to the food, all with the feel of an ideal jungle lodge. The people are what keep bringing me back, with warm hospitality and a can-do attitude. Mr. John and his son, Roshan, know the area well and provide the comfort you’re looking for.

Deer come right up near the cottages at night to graze, and if there’s light then you can see the whole herd clearly. It’s a simple, beautiful resort where you can feel close to nature. The staff are humble, the rooms are well kept, and it’s a place a nature lover shouldn’t miss.

I’ve stayed here twice, first with family and later with a group of biker friends, and we all enjoyed it. The place is popular with my biking crowd. It’s set in the jungle, so don’t come expecting luxury, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The food is good and fairly priced, and the staff are really friendly and courteous. A nice spot to get out of the city for a day or two.
