Orchha Palace and Convention Centre

The New Year dinner was a major disappointment. It cost ₹5,500 per person, which felt unjustified, and the setup came across as misleading. Several dishes were cold, and there were very few non-vegetarian snacks, poorly prepared. We also found three cockroaches in the washroom. Toiletries weren’t properly packed, and the razor wasn’t sealed, which raised cleanliness and guest safety concerns. Our family room arrangement was uncomfortable too. We had booked with a child, but were given twin beds pushed together with a noticeable gap, making it very hard to sleep. It seemed careless not to provide a proper setup for a family. Service and room condition fell well below what I’d expect from a professionally run property. There was little sign of quality control, hospitality, or attention to the guest experience, and basic standards seemed lacking throughout. This isn’t a chain property, and that lack of standards was clear. We came away feeling the stay had wasted our time and money. The hotel didn’t meet even the basic expectations for a New Year celebration, much less justify the high price. I’d urge others to think twice before booking, especially for a special occasion.

We had a successful little party for 25 people, thanks to the staff’s sincere help. Miss Shubhi and restaurant manager Mr. Rachit mishra helped with the decorations and menu, and the chef made delicious food. The service was excellent. Thanks so much.

Mr. Rahul made our meal memorable with thoughtful recommendations that suited our tastes, and the rest of the staff were warm, attentive, and professional. The signature platter stood out, with a lovely presentation and a great mix of flavors. Everything we tried tasted fresh and authentic. The resort and restaurant had a welcoming feel, with a nice balance of luxury and relaxation. We had a wonderful visit and would happily come back. It’s a lovely place for a peaceful stay or a good meal.

Mr Pawan Kewat was attentive and suggested dishes based on what we each like. The restaurant food was fresh and very tasty, and the service was good. Thank you.
