HM Resort

We found the rooms clean, comfortable, and well looked after, and the pool was neat enough for a relaxing break. The bar and restaurant on site had decent food choices, while the breakfast was tasty and had a nice range of options. HM Resort worked well for our Mysore visit, with easy access for trips to KRS Dam and Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary. It was a pleasant weekend stay, with good facilities for the price.

For what we paid, this place really spoiled our time and mood. We’d booked for four, including two kids, but the bed wasn’t enough. They refused an extra bed because we hadn’t requested it earlier, then charged us 500 rs for one that wasn’t clean. The first room was small, the next had a sound like an electrical short, and the last one wasn’t clean even though they said it was. There were exposed electrical wires in the room, too. The bathroom was filthy, with a blocked drain full of hair, dirty bucket and bath mug, and cockroaches on the floor and bucket. When we asked for cleaning, two people came without tools, sprayed water, and left. We didn’t bathe the next morning and left the resort. The bread at breakfast was stale and hard, the fruit wasn’t fresh, and breakfast didn’t start until around 9. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Balaji, the manager, asked us to wait five minutes while he kept talking with staff, and Neha at reception didn’t understand what we were asking. The intercom didn’t work, so we had to walk down from the second floor each time we needed something, and we had to keep going back to ask for help. The TV had no paid channels, and even the free ones didn’t work. Balaji kept saying he’d recharge it from our 2 PM check-in until checkout around 10 the next morning, but never did. At 11 PM he came to photograph the setup box number; I wouldn’t let him into the room because my family was asleep, and his staff had already taken a picture that afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

The food was nice and the setting was good for relaxing with family or friends. The staff were helpful with hospitality through the night, especially Balajee at the front office. Rooms were good too, and the swimming pool was neat.

We paid 12800 for two rooms over two days, 26-28th dec, and the service was awful. The rooms and toilets were very dirty, and the staff were arrogant. My aged parents only eat bread for breakfast, so we asked for toast instead of raw bread because it could cause them indigestion. Was that really such a big demand, HM Resort? At lunch we ordered an omelette and it arrived uncooked. If you can’t manage the crowd, why run this business? Your manager Balaji knows what happened. Please don’t stay here if you’re travelling with small children or parents.
