The Hawaii Comforts

The beach is just a stone’s throw away and was really clean. You can also walk to a nearby viewpoint. We stayed four nights in April as a family of four, with two adults and kids aged 10 and 12. Our spacious, modern, clean room had a double bed and two singles for the children, plus an attached bathroom, minifridge, AC and drinking water. Breakfast is available for a small fee, with a nice buffet selection and egg dishes made by the kitchen. The restaurant also has tasty lunch and dinner options à la carte. Reception can tell you about tours and trips, and laundry is available. The staff were kind, helpful and efficient. Room service was a godsend when we came back tired from exploring. I didn’t take photos of the room or restaurant, but I’ve attached a few of the exterior and beach beside.

I’d booked this hotel about four months ahead and had loved the place, especially its wonderful breakfast. This time, they cancelled our booking without much discussion and, because of some refund issues, put us in another of their hotels nearby. The room there was good, but breakfast was very limited, only two items were allowed, even though we’d paid for a room with breakfast. I was really looking forward to breakfast, so this was very disappointing. I hope it doesn’t happen to anyone else.

Dona Paula Beach is within walking distance, which was a big plus. We stayed for two nights. The ambience was great, and the rooms were clean and spacious, though a bit costly. The restaurant food tasted good and the service was great, but it was on the expensive side too. Wi-Fi in the rooms didn’t work properly, and network connectivity was very poor.

The staff were helpful and provided very good service. My room was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was fresh with a good range of choices. I’d stay here again.
