The Hillway Heritage

The food is varied, tasty, and served neatly, though the prices are a little high. The Hill way heritage is between Kilimanoor and Vamanapuram, near the Kilimanoor police station.

We stopped at Hillway Heritage for lunch on a road trip and didn't stay overnight. The calm, uncrowded feel was a big part of the appeal, and the place had a nostalgic look that reminded me of an old Malayalam film. The service was polite and prompt. I had porotta with beef roast, both nicely prepared and full of flavor. The beef serving was on the small side, enough for one person, so you'd want another plate to share. Prices felt a bit high, but I still enjoyed the visit.

Friendly staff, filling portions, and good value. The fish fry is worth recommending. We enjoyed the food and cozy atmosphere, 4/5 stars.

We were in a hurry and dropped in for lunch with my family without planning ahead. The waiter was polite when we asked for quick meal suggestions, but then the manager, a middle-aged man, cut into our conversation. He was needlessly rude and arrogant, and we felt unwelcome, so we left without eating. Customers should be treated respectfully. It was a sad, disheartening experience, and I wouldn't recommend this place to families or anyone expecting basic courtesy.
