Comfort Inn Coral River

Our stay at Comfort Inn Bathinda was a terrible experience and poor value for the price. Check-in and checkout were badly handled, with the front desk, especially Rasvinder, rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to help. We were travelling with children and senior citizens. I asked to let the elderly guest go up while I finished checking in, but the request was refused without courtesy. Though we booked twin-bed rooms and asked to be near the lift, we got double-bed rooms far away, which made things harder for the older guests. We asked for extra beds at 9:10 PM and agreed to pay ₹3000, but they didn’t arrive until 12:30 AM. What they brought was only a thin 3-inch mattress on the floor, not a proper bed. ₹3000 for that setup is unacceptable, especially when a new mattress would cost less at the market. The rooms were old and poorly maintained, with broken tiles, lights that didn’t work, and tiny washrooms. They also don’t look like the online photos, particularly on MakeMyTrip. Staff said the property is a franchise operating under Hotel Tulip Heights and follows its own rules, which seems reflected in the poor service. I strongly wouldn’t recommend it.

I stayed for just one night. The location near the river is the main thing you’re paying for, along with the effort put into maintaining the property, so I didn’t find it good value for money. In the room, the walls felt like they had fungal mould beneath the wallpaper. The staff are trying to maintain the place, but anyone with allergies or respiratory problems should avoid staying here. The food is expensive too.

The atmosphere was nice, but the food was just average and portions were small. A full Tandoori chicken order came with only four little pieces, and there wasn’t much dal or vegetables either.

Coral River Resort was an awful experience. Breakfast included burnt bread, there was no customer service, and service overall was nonexistent. They said there was no manager available to deal with my concerns. The place is overpriced and unprofessional, and they even gave torn notes as change. I wouldn’t recommend Coral River Resort to anyone.
